This hotel is in an ideal location for a number of reasons although it's not very centrally located. It's nice because Rome's really busy. And it's very quiet around this hotel. It is only about a 10 minute walk to the Vatican and maybe 20 minutes to the hop-on hop-off bus location. But it's nice to come back here after a busy day in Rome and have somewhere really quiet to stay. We loved the roof top patio- its really fun to sit on and just watch Rome and the sun set, and you can see the Vatican very easily, not very far away. Actually we didn't realize the hotel was this big, but there are quite a few rooms in it. The service at this place is really nice, and the front desk was able to speak some English.They did call us a taxi a couple of times, which came really quickly to this location. We thought the room was really clean and the breakfast we had was nice, with fresh selections available. They had very fast wifi. We would stay here again. The one odd thing about the hotel was that in the room, they did not have any wine glases or a wine corker. Since we were in Italy, we had some wine and thought we'd enjoy some before dinner. We had to go to the restaurant to ask, and they let us know there was a 5€ service charge to lend some wine glasses and a corker as they prefer people don't bring wine into the hotel-so even for your room that's a charge for 'service'. Never saw that before in any of our travels. However, we enjoyed the hotel!

Really nice hotel in a great location. Great rooms and a decent breakfast. We were upgraded to a balcony room and well worth it with a great view of the Basilica. It has a really good modern bar all of the staff were great. Daniele serving on the bar was great nothing was too much for him and he was really helpful. Will definitely stay here again when I'm next in Rome.

Stayed for 3 nights (march 2023). Hotel itself is very nice. Room was clean and modern with nice lighting and an outdoor balcony area. Bathroom was nice. Didn't have any food so unable to comment on that. Water stations on each floor with still or spring water. Nice location for the vatican. Short bus trip to the more central areas of Rome.

Il Cantico was a lovely property in a great location for accessing Vatican City and St. Peter’s Basilica. It was reasonably priced given its abundant amenities, including a concierge, 24/7 check-in, sparkling and still water fountains with bottles for the room, 10€ daily delicious breakfast and/or parking, and classy rooms with recessed lighting. We would stay again!
